Volunteering offers a chance to get involved.
Initial training is provided. Several times a year, "docent enrichment" events feature speakers who provide more insight into specific aspects of park history or ecology. The next training session starts March 20, 2010. For more information, click here.
Volunteers in California State Parks are required to work an average of four hours per month to maintain their active status.
Whatever your talents or interest, many opportunities exist to volunteer in one more more activities:
- Lead nature hikes along the trails or lead historic tours; No experience is necessary, just a willingness to learn and share that knowledge with the public. Volunteers can earn annual day use passes.
Join us! Together we know we can make a difference.
Volunteers are encouraged to become members of the Valley of the Moon Natural History Association.
2009 Volunteer Training Class
