The "Senior Tour" is designed for visitors who arrive by bus and who prefer not to hike to the sights of the park. The tour is offered only on week-days, except Wednesdays. Approximately 90 minutes should be allowed for the tour.
The docents will meet the bus at the parking lot below the museum (turn left at the entrance station). The docents will briefly discuss the history of the park and Jack London and lead the group to the museum for a short visit. The walk from the parking lot to the museum is approximately 30 yards uphill. After the museum visit, we will re-board the bus and take a short drive to the Beauty Ranch to visit Jack London's Cottage. The walk from the bus to the cottage is approximately 50 yards, uphill. From the cottage, we can enjoy a panoramic view of Jack London's Beauty Ranch and the surrounding mountains. After the cottage visit, the group re-boards the bus to conclude the visit. For a tour of the cottage, groups larger than 40 cannot be accommodated due to the limited space in the cottage.
