How To Take a Great Photo!

Jack London State Historic Park is very happy to offer a one day photography workshop led by Sonoma County pros Neil and Susan Silverman of Silverman Photography. The Silverman's lead tours and workshops worldwide and also teach a variety of online photography classes at BetterPhoto. See what other incredible pros are saying about the Neil and Susan. This workshop is open to all skill levels from beginner to advanced amateur.

Susan says:

"We have been co-teaching photography and leading workshops and tours for over twenty-five years. We strive to inspire and teach not only the technical aspects but also the creative side of photography. We believe in “getting it great” in the camera rather than relying on a photo processing in the camera afterwards. Our passion is travel and nature photography; however, events, and weddings are also part of the path our profession has taken us. We photograph for stock agencies, for publications as well as for individuals, families and commercial venues. We are really looking forward to leading this workshop in Jack London State Park; what a beautiful place to photograph not only the obvious, but the subtle as well. We will work on several aspects: finding good light, (or working with challenging lighting situations); seeking the creative image—photographing not only the iconic, but also the not so obvious. Join our workshop, to learn some new techniques and tricks, some inspiration as well as enjoying a wonderful time in a special area of Sonoma County. We will also have a brown bag lunch (bring your own) and work within a meeting room for some discussion, and specific teaching elements. All levels of experience and gear is welcome and we know it will be a worthwhile day of photography for all."
