Jack London State Historic Park invites groups of students and adults for an informative visit to learn about Jack London, his life and activities on the Beauty Ranch, and about the natural environment of the park.

 

      Request one of several tours of the park:

        Check the schedule of events  which are offered throughout the year on week-ends at Jack London, Sugarloaf Ridge and Annadel State Parks. These include docent-led hikes, observatory viewing at Sugarloaf Ridge State Park and special trail work days.

                   

May is closed to additional groups due to a shortage of docents. Self-Guided Tour dates are still available.

Docents are scheduled approximately 2 weeks prior to the group tour.  You may find the docents assigned to your group by checking the schedule.

        The Lake in the hills above the vineyards is a cool hike through the woods on hot summer days.  There is currently a fund raising effort to dredge the lake and repair the dam.

        Video Tour of the Park.  Schools (K-12) may request the loan of a 20-minute DVD video which is an excellent preview of the park for the students.  The video includes a brief biography of Jack London, many quotes, photographs and video clips.  Each major feature of the park and its history is described. The video features subtitles for the hearing-impaired. The video may be requested on the Reservation Request form.  We will mail the video to the school (allow 2 weeks for delivery). There is a $10 deposit which will be refunded when the video is returned at the park. The video is also available for purchase at the Park Store (see below).
